Visitors can travel to Macao by land, sea and air. You may take a direct or connecting flight to Macau International Airport or transfer to other city routes; in addition, a helicopter service flies directly from Hong Kong and Shenzhen to Macao. Many visitors travel to Macao by sea via Shun Tak Centre (Sheung Wan, Hong Kong), Hong Kong International Airport, China Ferry Terminal (Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong), Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal (New Territories, Hong Kong), Shekou (Shenzhen), and Fu Yong Ferry Terminal (Shenzhen Airport). Land crossings from Mainland China are made through the Border Gate on Macao Peninsula and the Lotus Bridge in Cotai. Visitors can also travel to Macao from Hong Kong or Zhuhai through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

By Land

The inauguration of Hong Kong- Zhuhai-Macao Bridge allows tourists to enter Macao by vehicles. Tourists can take shuttle buses or cross-boundary coaches to enter Macao.

  • Shuttle Bus
    The shuttle bus provides 24-hour service connecting Hong Kong and Macao ports with an average interval of 5 minutes during peak periods, 10-15 minutes during non-peak periods and 15-30 minutes during overnight periods. For details, please contact:

    Tourists may continue their journey by taxi or bus - routes 101X or 102X once arriving the Macao port. In addition to public transportation, shuttle bus service is also available between the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and two maritime terminals, Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Taipa Ferry Terminal.     Cross-boundary coaches provide services between urban areas of Hong Kong and Macao with fixed pick up/drop-off points and fixed schedules. For details, please contact:

The Kee Kwan Motor Road Co. and China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd. operate a roundtrip air-conditioned bus service from major cities in Guangdong Province to Macao. The buses arrive at Gongbei Port in Zhuhai, from where you may go through the checkpoints at GongbeiPort and Border Gate to Macao. For enquiries, please call:

  • The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Frontier Post at Macao Port
    8:00am to 10:00pm: Tourists from Zhuhai can travel to Macao via the Frontier Post on foot.
    10:00pm to 8:00am of the next day: Tourists from Zhuhai are allowed to enter Macao by taking vehicles with valid licenses and permits only.
